Peer Review
I received lots of feedback from my peers after presenting my project.
Some positive feedback that I received included how I faded my title in and out of the film. This was encouraging because I worked hard to figure out how to work that feature on Premiere Pro. This also shows me that it is worth it to go the extra mile in watching videos to learn the features of the software. Another compliment that I received was on my shots that I included in the film. This was also very encouraging because I worked hard and made multiple beach visits in order to capture the shots. Again, this shows me that hard work pays off in the end.
A few suggestions that I received from my peers included that I need to figure out how to properly upload my music. Before presenting, I also agreed with his issue. Thankfully, a peer gave instructions on how I may be able to better upload my music onto Premiere Pro. Another suggestion that I received was to turn my music up. Again, this may have simply been an issue with uploading, however I agree that since my film does not have lines, turning up the sound would help fill in the sound space. Someone else said that I may want to consider changing my music because it doesn't match the mood of my film. Finding music was a struggle, as I have to use a royalty free source. I certainly will be looking for better music to use, though.
Overall, I am happy that I received advice from my peers. I was thrilled that they seemed to like the visual portion of my film, and I am thankful for the advice that I was given regarding the sound. Before I turn in my project to Cambridge, I am going to play around with the sound on my film. I am going to try to upload the sound more clearly into my project, and find more fitting music.
