Production Blog 1: Setting Realistic Expectations
After I completed the storyboard, I realized that I needed to change a few aspects of my project in order to make it work. One of these changes was eliminating the office scenes in my movie. Due to COVID precautions and the need for office space, this was unrealistic. I also eliminated a few characters from my film. This made it significantly easier to shoot the needed scenes without having to align multiple schedules.
Once the office scenes were eliminated, I faced the challenge of determining how I would be able to tell my story without these scenes which were included with the purpose of explaining the "kidnapping" aspect. I decided that I would have to show the kidnapping on the beach as well as try to give viewers an idea of the whole concept. This was going to be a challenge from a filming point of view.
This is an image at Lido Beach, where I decided would be a good place to film my movie.
